I am Marianne Niemelä, 32, a curator and producer from East-Helsinki. At politics I am currently the chair of the East-Helsinki Greens, as well as a vice-member of the Helsinki Cultural and Library Committee. I am a member of the Third Space art gallery collective, in Punavuori, as well as at the Museum of Impossible Forms cultural centre project in Kontula.
I finished my masters in art history at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2009. I also graduated with a masters degree in Curating, Managing and Mediating Art from the Aalto University in 2015.
My free time is mostly spent on politics, as well as other activism. Including doing craft as part of the Helsinki Radical Cross-stitch group. I am also a part of the Utopia Helsinki queer-feminist cultural collective.
